COVID-19 snuck up on all of us like a thief in the night, stealing our way of life in one swift pass. We’re all adjusting to this new normal, working from home, homeschooling our children, interacting with friends and family virtually. Change is tough, disorienting and uncertain. For the small business owner, perhaps even more so. We get it and we want to help. We love our small business community and the talented, goal-getting people it’s made up of.
Life has handed us an unexpected, huge lemon, so what can we do? How can we possibly make lemonade out of this unprecedented situation? Perhaps you look for the next right thing (yes, that was a Frozen 2 reference, we are, after all a team of working mothers). But what is that “thing”? Perhaps it’s hitting the reboot button.
Find the positive and use your strengths
Yes, times are tough. But we’ve all seen the silver linings… quality time with our families, less hustle and bustle, time to read a book or enjoy nature. Could there also be a silver lining for small businesses? We think so. What you do now will determine what your business will look like on the other side of this crisis. Use this time to assess, evaluate, and dream.
“Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.”
-Michael Jordan
How can Annatto help you refocus your energy?
At our core, we believe a solid brand is the foundation for a well-communicated business. If your target audience can clearly understand what your business is offering them, how your business will improve their lives, and that your business can deliver what you promise, you will save time, money, and energy engaging and earning those customers.
Recently we began offering our fellow business owners complimentary 10 in 10 brand consultations. In this time of uncertainty, it may help you focus on what you can control. So what is a 10 in 10? We spend approximately 10 minutes reviewing one of your current marketing materials (website, brochures, sell sheets, e-newsletters, etc.). We look for things like clarity, vision, relevance, and consistency. Once the review is complete, you will receive objective insights and constructive feedback from our team of veteran marketing professionals in the form of up to 10 action items. With these items, you will have tangible steps to take towards improving your branding and preparing your marketing to work better for you as our economy recovers.
