Aaaaaahhhh… island life. Sparkling ocean, sunshine, sand, mountains, and a deep-rooted Aloha spirit. These are all things that are prevalent in the everyday lives of Liz and Kai, the owners of Guava Shop, located in two spots on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

Guava Shop is a retail store that carries a wide range of products from swimwear and clothing to beauty products to essentials for the beach, home and beyond. Liz and Kai carefully curate the brands that they choose to carry and they also have a healthy selection of products that they have designed and branded specifically for the shop. The custom, branded pieces have been a popular addition and they try to encompass the overall feel of their identity with each design.

So what kinds of products have made the cut, you ask? Here are a few of our favorites:

Every year, one of our favorite projects is to design a set of custom matchboxes and/or matchbooks to add to the stock. While each look is very different, they all compliment the “beach chic” style that Guava Shop is known for and will often play off other products that are available. Patterns and bright pops of color are often present and these pieces work well with other branded items such as lip balms, tags, notebooks, and leather clutches. This allows great flexibility when staging displays within each of their stores, and also gives customers the ability to create their own sets when gift shopping.

By developing a following with their one-of-a-kind, Guava Shop branded items, they have positioned themselves as a unique and must-see store for both tourists and locals alike. Constantly updating and offering new and beautiful designs keeps the store fresh and gives repeat customers a great reason to return on a regular basis.
